Gamer-boys and gamer-ladies, we are back. Not only do we got a new month and new free games, we now have new consoles being released this month. With the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X coming out in less than two weeks, make sure to read the updated information for every subscription service. This article will contain a list of free games for November 2020 varying by platform (PlayStation, Xbox, or PC).
As a reminder, Epic Games won’t announce which game is free until the week prior. So, this article will be updated weekly. Without further ado, let’s begin.
PlayStation Plus is a subscription that offers PS4 and PS5 games each month. Disclaimer: If your subscription expires, the games are blocked without renewal or buying the game separately. All PS4 games mentioned will be able to play on PS5 through backward-compatibility.
For November 2020, PlayStation Plus members will be able to own:
- Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition (November 3rd until November 30th)
- Middle-Earth: Shadow of War (November 3rd until November 30th)
- Bugsnax: (November 12th until January 4th) (PS5 version only)
I haven’t played Hollow Knight and Middle-Earth. Hollow Knight is a well-known indie platform game (ain’t that oxymoronic). Middle-Earth is famous for it’s Assassin’s Creed-like free-flow movement and innovation with the nemesis system. Don’t know what I’m talking about? Download and play both when it’s free. I don’t understand why Bugsnax exists as a next-gen game, especially as an exclusive.
Xbox Live Gold is a subscription that offers 2 Xbox One games, 1 Xbox 360, and 1 original Xbox game. Disclaimer: Any games obtained will be permanently added to the user’s library even after the subscription ends. All free 360 and original Xbox games will be automatically backward-compatible with the Xbox One. As of November 2020, Xbox Series X|S will play all games mentioned here also.
For November 2020, the Xbox Live Gold player base will be able to download:
- Xbox:
- Full Spectrum Warrior (November 1st until the 15th)
- Xbox 360:
- Lego Indiana Jones (November 16th until the 30th)
- Xbox One:
- Maid of Sker (October 16th until November 15th)
- Aragami: Shadow Edition (November 1st until the 30th)
- Swimsanity! (November 16th until December 15th)
Prime Gaming (formerly Twitch Prime) is available to all Amazon Prime members, and it gives PC games and DLC to users each month. Disclaimer: Any games or DLC obtained will be permanently added to the user’s library even after the subscription ends.
To the PC master race for November 2020 (between November 1st until November 30th), you will receive:
- Aurion: Legacy of the Kori-Odan
- Lethis – Path of Progress
- Smoke and Sacrifice
- A Knight’s Quest
- Victor Vran
Lastly, we got the Epic Games Store also for the PC. Disclaimer: Any games obtained will be added to the user’s library even after the free period. Epic Games Store doesn’t require a paid subscription of any kind.
PC players for November 2020 will also be able to get:
- Blair Witch (October 29th until November 5th)
- Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered (October 29th until November 5th)
- Dungeons 3 (November 5th until 12th)
- The Textorcist (November 12th until 19th)
- Elite Dangerous (November 19th until 26th)
- The World Next Door (November 19th until 26th)
- MudRunner (November 26th until December 3rd)
Overall, November’s games look to be underdeveloped. There aren’t that many games to recommend, and that’s a good thing for me. November is packed with so many games they’re starting to seep into December. But don’t worry, if you didn’t find any video games this month appealing, look at October’s article here. Depending on when you read this, those games may still be available.
That’s it for November 2020. Thank you for reading my article. Make sure to come back here for any updates. While you’re at it, make sure you subscribe to me or follow on the site’s Twitter @_urgegaming. Tell your loved ones you love them and have a blessed day. Peace.
