What’s up, gaming community? Happy black history month. Another month, another set of free games to get with those paid subscriptions or apps. This article will contain a list of free games for February 2021 varying by platform (PlayStation, Xbox, or PC).

As a reminder, Epic Games won’t announce which game is free until the week prior. So, I will be updating this article weekly. Without further ado, let’s begin.

PlayStation Plus is a subscription that offers 2 PS4 or games and a PS5 game. Disclaimer: If your subscription expires, the games are blocked without renewal or buying the game separately.

For February 2021, the PlayStation Plus player base will be able to download:

  • Destruction All-Stars (February 2nd until April 5th)
  • Control: Ultimate Edition (February 2nd until April 5th)
  • Concrete Genie (February 2nd until March 2nd)

I’m kinda looking forward to Destruction All-Stars. The game was set to be a launch title for the PS5 but got delayed. I just wanna see why the delay. I’ve heard about positive things about Control, so owning it wouldn’t be a bad idea. Lastly, I’ve never heard of Concrete Genie. But if it turns out good, Sony has another solid month for free games. Those are my thoughts.

Xbox Live Gold is a subscription that offers 2 Xbox One games and a combination between one Xbox 360 game and one original Xbox game. Disclaimer: Any games obtained will be permanently added to the user’s library even after the subscription ends. All free 360 and original Xbox games will be automatically backward-compatible with the Xbox One and Xbox Series.

For February 2021, the Xbox Live Gold players will be able to download:

  • Xbox:
    • Indiana Jones and the Emperor’s Tomb (February 1st until 15th)
  • Xbox 360:
    • Lost Planet 2 (February 16th until 28th)
  • Xbox One:
    • Dead Rising (January 16th until February 15th)
    • Gears 5 (February 1st until 28th)
    • Resident Evil (February 1st until 28th)
    • Dandara: Trials of Fear Edition (February 16th until March 15th)

This was a little surprising. In my opinion, you should pick up Gears 5 whether or not you’re interested in the series. I’m also recommending picking up Resident Evil (HD Remaster) if you wanna see how the franchise began. All in all, a good month for Xbox.

Prime Gaming (formerly Twitch Prime) is available to all Amazon Prime members, and it gives PC games and DLC to users each month. Disclaimer: Any games or DLC obtained will be permanently added to the user’s library even after the Prime subscription ends.

To the PC master race for December 2020 (between February 1st until February 28th), you will receive:

  1. Free until February 12th:
    1. Cyber Hook
  2. Free until February 19th:
    1. Algo Bot
  3. Free until February 26th:
    1. Little Big Workshop
  4. Free until March 1st:
    1. Swimsanity!: Couch Party Edition
    2. Monster Prom: Hotseat Edition
    3. Stealth Bastard Deluxe
    4. Spinch

I know there a lot more games to mention, but I wanna focus more on February’s games and focus less on those games since they’re available until the end of March.

Lastly, we got the Epic Games Store also for the PC. Disclaimer: Any games obtained will be added to the user’s library even after the free period. Epic Games Store doesn’t require a paid subscription of any kind.

PC players for February 2021 will also be able to get:

  • Dandara: Trials of Fear Edition (January 28th until February 4th)
  • For the King (February 4th until 11th)
  • Metro: Last Light Redux (February 4th until 11th)
  • Halcyon 6 (February 11th until 18th)
  • Absolute Drift: Zen Edition (February 18th until 25th)
  • Rage 2 (February 18th until 25th)
  • Sunless Sea (February 25th until March 4th)

February has a surprising list of games for consoles. If you have a Playstation or Xbox, you can’t say there are no games to play. No doubt, more are coming throughout the month. So that means there are more opportunities for quality games to arrive.

That will do it for this month. Make sure you come back here for any updates. If you didn’t see anything that you like here, take a look at last January’s deals. Depending on when you view this article, they can still be available. While you’re at it, make sure you subscribe to me or follow me on Twitter @_urgegaming. I hope you and your loved ones have a blessed day and a cultural month. Peace.
