Ladies and gents, it is that time of the month again. The time when free games you get for owning expensive subscriptions or annoying browsers on your computer. This article will contain a list of free games for June 2020 varying by platform (PlayStation, Xbox, or PC).
Keep in mind, Epic Games won’t announce which game is free until the week of. This article will be updated weekly. Without further ado, let’s begin.
PlayStation Plus is a subscription that offers 2 PS4 games, and maybe (likely not), a PS3 or PS Vita game each month. Disclaimer: If your subscription expires, the games are blocked without renewal or buying the game separately.
For June 2020, PlayStation Plus player base will be able to download:
- Call of Duty: WWII (between May 26th until July 7th)
- Star Wars Battlefront II (between June 2nd until July 7th)
Here’s my opinion for both games, both aren’t worth the regular price. But they’re worth a look at for free. Both games have been out for over a year and improved from their initial run and first impressions, respectively.
Xbox Live Gold is a subscription that offers 2 Xbox One games and 1 Xbox 360 games and as of June 1st original Xbox game. Disclaimer: Any games obtained will be permanently added to the user’s library even after the subscription ends. All free 360 and original Xbox games will be backward-compatible with the Xbox One.
For June 2020, the Xbox Live Gold players will be able to download:
- Xbox:
- Destroy All Humans (between June 1st until June 15th)
- Xbox 360:
- Sine Mora (between June 16th until June 30th)
- Xbox One:
- Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse (between June 1st until June 30th)
- Coffee Talk (between June 16th until July 15th)
- Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr (between May 16th until June 15th)
I would say pick up Destroy All Humans if you’re the nostalgic type, Shantae for tight 2D-Platforming, and Coffee Talk is an intriguing game that I wouldn’t mind playing just to chill.
Twitch Prime is available to all Amazon Prime members, and it gives PC games and DLC to users each month. Disclaimer: Any games or DLC obtained will be permanently added to the user’s library even after the subscription ends.
From now until June 30th, Twitch Prime users will receive:
- Forsaken Remastered
- Observer
- Project Warlock
- Steel Rats
- The Flame in the Flood
- Silence (ends June 12th)
- The Last Tinker: City of Colors (ends June 19th)
- Max: The Curse of Brotherhood (ends June 26th)
- Dream Daddy (ends July 3rd)
Lastly, we got the Epic Games Store also for the PC. Disclaimer: Any games obtained will be permanently added to the user’s library even after the end of the free period. Epic Games Store doesn’t require a paid subscription of any kind.
PC players for June 2020 will also be able to get:
- Borderlands: The Handsome Collection (May 28th until June 4th)
- Overcooked! (June 4th until June 11th)
- ARK: Survival Evolved (June 11th until June 18th)
- Samurai Shodown Neogeo Collection (June 11th until June 18th)
- Pathway (June 18th until June 25th)
- The Escapists 2 (June 18th until June 25th)
- AER: Memories of Old (June 25th until July 2nd)
- Stranger Things 3: The Game (June 25th until July 2nd)
To keep it simple, almost any game Epic Games have, pick it up, all these games are worth it even if they aren’t free. If people say there are no games to play this summer, just show them this article and see them get really quiet.
